TOP 10 TUESDAY | Favourite Scrapbook Embellishments

Okay, back to it!  After a week's vacation and with yesterday being a holiday (in Canda anyway!) - it's a bit of a challenge to sit down and come up with a top 10 list for this week!  But since I made the resolution to start posting regularly I will do it!

This week's Top 10 Tuesday features my favourite scrapbook page embellishments - in no particular order! So here we go...

#1:  Mini Paper Clips - I love the current office supply craze and these little clips combined with item # 2 below are just the cutest little things since sliced bread! :)
Kathy Martin
#2:  File Labels - Stickers or made with a punch, they are both super cute, easy ways to add little words or a date to your page!
Iara Baer
#3:  Word/ Phrase stickers - Love, love, love these.  It's a great way to add little bits of journalling to the page to support the theme or feeling you are trying to convey.
Echo Park - Every day Eclectic
#4:  Stamps - I recently took Jen Gallacher's stamping class at Two Peas in a Bucket and it was fabulous!  Now I look for ways to incorporate my stamps onto my scrapbook pages!
Available through Two Peas
#5:  Buttons - Who doesn't love buttons!?  They work for boy and girl pages and are a great way to add a few more hits of colour or a little dimension.  Just look at this fabulous page by Mendi Yoshikawa!  Love the buttons added to the scallop!

#6:  Brads - an old stand-by but still cute and practical.  They are great to use to hold layers onto a page without losing the dimension of the item - like glue sometimes does.

#7:  Butterflies - How can I not use butterflies - I have a 3-year old little girl.  I used to use flowers A LOT but now I tend to turn to butterflies to add that little something to a page.  Just look at these beauties - canvas resist butterflies!!!  I just LOVE how Nichol puts a page together!!
Nichol Magourik
#8:  Strips of paper - Adding a couple of strips of patterned paper is a great way to pull the colour scheme of the page together and a way to add more to the page without making the page too busy. Here one of my favourite scrapbookers does this beautifully...
Stephanie Klauck
#9:  Circles - Simple, easy and so easy to add another embellishment on top of.  Circles are a great versatile embellishment that works just about any where!
Owl Craft Studio - inspired by Nichol Magourik
#10:  Mistable embellishments - These are relatively new to the market but I am in love with them! Heidi Swapp makes banners and sheets of paper that have a resist pattern on them so that when you spray them with a coloured mist they reveal the resist pattern and add some much texture and dimension!  Plus if you're like me and a little hesitant about spraying ink mist on your page these are a great way to ease into the mist craze!!

And there you have it another Top 10 list for your enjoyment!  What are your favourite embellishments?  I'd love to compare notes!

Thanks for popping by,
