Valentine's Day

Well with Valentine's Day fast approaching I thought I'd better get my butt in gear and come up with something for my daughter to give to her day care classmates.  I saw these cute little boxes on Amber's blog and thought - PERFECT!  She even gives step-by-step instructions!  SCORE!

However when I went to the site to see about buying the die to make the little box inside I found out it was $48!  Plus of course shipping, tax, etc.  So that wasn't going to happen!  However being cheap creative person I am, I found an svg file on SVG CUTS that made the little boxes!  And the file only cost $6.99 to download!  It's called "Amelie's Accessories".

Now Amber stamped the images on her wrap around piece but I didn't have that kind of dedication so I used patterned pattern from K&Company's Valentine Specialty Paper Pack and their Valentine Designer Paper Pack.  (They were on sale at Michael's).

So then I created a basic rectangle with a heart cut out using my SCAL program, for the wrap around piece and TA-DA!  Sweet little Valentine treat boxes!!!

My version of the Valentine Treat Boxes!
By the way the heart cut-out has a 3x3 piece of acetate glued behind it so the chocolates won't fall out!

I've entered these into Paper Crafts Magazine's February Idol Contest as well.

Thanks for stopping by!
